Latest date to make changes to your method of payment

Generally, we need eight days' notice before the next pension payday to make any changes to the way that your benefit is paid. For example, if you changed your bank account and wanted that change to take effect on payday 17 October, you would have to tell us by no later than 10 October.

It is important to let us know when you change to another financial institution into which you would like payment made. We need to know:

  • the name of the new financial institution,
  • the BSB Number (or branch code) of that institution, and
  • your new account number.

Important:

Please don't close your old account until payments start going into your new account.
