Change My Financial Details

Changing Your Bank Account details

To notify MilitarySuper of any change to your bank account details please call the Customer Service Centre on 1300 006 727.

When phoning the Customer Service Centre you will need to provide:

  • your name
  • your Member reference number
  • your date of birth
  • your address
  • the current account number ComSuper has on file
  • the current 6 digit BSB (or Branch code) number ComSuper has on file
  • the name of the new Financial Institution
  • your new account number
  • your financial institution's 6 digit BSB (or Branch code) number

You may also be asked to provide additional information about your account to verify your identity.

Important

Please don't close your old account until payments start going into your new account.

The pay day that the change will take effect depends on when you called. It is advisable to keep your old account open until a payment is made to your new account. If the pay is rejected from a closed account it will be reissued to the new account (usually after 3 working days).

Changing taxation details

To advise MilitarySuper of any changes to the way Taxation is administered on your pension (eg. the application of the tax-free threshold, offsets or deductibles) you:

  • Must complete the relevant form (eg Tax File Number Declaration form), which can be downloaded from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) website, or you can phone the ATO (13 28 61 between 8am and 6pm weekdays) and request a form; and
  • Forward the completed form to ComSuper.

If you wish to make any changes to the amount of voluntary tax contribution being deducted from your pension payments, you may do so by notifying ComSuper in writing of the amended amount. Please note that you may not reduce your tax to an amount less than that required under legislation outlined by the ATO.

For more information on varying the way your tax is administered, or advice on the appropriate form for your needs, you may wish to contact the ATO, or you can phone the ATO 13 28 61 between 8am and 6pm weekdays.
